there were nearly altercations to be had at trivia last night. the professor team got ahold of the score-tally and re-did the math to find that they had come in first place rather than tying for third. another team charged the counter knowing that they beat the Ta-Ta's [or the Cunts, as i like to call them]. if you ask me, which you should since bar trivia is 4/9 of my life, it's about bloody time. There is something rotten in the state of patrick's tuesday night bar trivia. it's not about what you know, it's about who you know. and as i was walking home and off the drunken buzz, this entry sounded much more eloquent and scatheing and vindication-invoking. but having no internet at home (which might just kill me over silly holiday in which campus shuts down completely) i had to strain to recall the initial rage of last night. i may need to take a break from bar trivia until january league starts... though we acquired three free pitcher tickets to add to the one from two weeks ago last night. and really, it IS all about the free alcohol that years of isolating myself, surviving on bread crumbs, coffee and jeopardy-airings, can bring me.
i will be without internetii until sunday evening. we may call this "holiday" but in reality, i have to work friday-sunday as well as perform thanksgiving miracles in kitchen tonight and tomorrow. a silly holiday. i do not fully understand why my family celebrates it.
