the grades are in. b, b, b+. british women writers, social inequality, scandinavian pagan literature, respectively. m to the e to the d to the iocrity-uh. and ugh. oh well. it's done. it's over. it's final. now i just wait to receive my diploma (and hopefully, student loan refund... which i should inquire of immediately following journal update.) i don't like being very poor, it's making me consider 9-5 jobs with benefits and such. [which would, technically, put my shirt and tie collection (increased two-fold since christmas) to good use.] hmmm, last semester was good for something: distraction from bills and money-matters. it IS slightly odd that i'm poorer now--after a raise and increase in hours per week--than when i was in school. i think i'd become accustomed to being too-busy-not-studying to view financial matters as obligatory. well, onward mattson soldier to the campus finance office... and please o please o please let gustavus not fuck me over, just this once--i think it owed to me after 9 semesters.

and in better-than-extraordinary news!, the st. paul winter carnival* opens january 22nd which coincides brilliantly with boyfriend arrival. and here i thought i'd missed it. (i've never been, it'll be adventurous for both of us).
