i woke up at 6am. unprovoked. no alarm, no family noise, no kitty to the cat, nada. i woke up at 6am entirely on my own. of course, i went back to bed at 7.30ish--i'll be damned if internal alarm is going to mess with my "weekend." the slight headache and gigantic headrush (that nearly swerved me and car into curb at end of block) tell me i have not been drinking enough coffee or smoking enough cigarettes: it's too damn cold to be bothered, actually. negative windchills upon already negative low temperatures... evil. but, the weather is on the right track for brian's arrival; he wants it cold. we just need more snow. hurry up wintergods (would that be njord?), mn needs some snow... none of this "light dusting" piddle... full on 6 inches of blinding white fluff, please. there is 15 days remaining. plenty of time to get it done. don't procrastinate and make me worry... dry hands shouldn't fidget. and please don't be confused by his insisting that he's staying in st. paul, he means st. peter. it's just like how riina insisted that i went to austria (or was it australia?) when in fact i travelled to california. so don't be fooled by these trixie hobbitses.
