There is no way in hell you are a boring, salt of the earth, ISTJ with that banner. I vs E is a question about where you get your energy. If you thrive at parties and enjoy people as a way of relaxing you are an E. If however you enjoy people, but for just so long, and then you must be alone to recharge your batteries, in other words people drain you, not charge you up, then you are an I. It has little to do with the typical introvert (shy)/ extrovert behaviour we associate with these designations.

ahhh. thanks for the input! tragically though, i do find people to be quite draining. i'm often convinced that i'm only non-boring in intraweb-land.

Sorry to be locked (if you went there) but some stuff is happening in my life that needs to stay private from prying eyes. But your next confusion seems to be N vs S. I'm no expert but I spent a few months working with this. My take on N is an intuitive global learner that can tell you something is wrong just walking into a room but would be hard pressed to tell you why at first. They would just know the whole pattern had something "off". An S though would be like Monk and tell you all about the angle of the window and the crooked latch. I find they are usually very comfortable and aware of the physical world and how they fit into it so you tend to see them driving fast or taking physical risks others may not because they are more in tune with where & how they "fit" into the physical world. The N on the other hand would be more aware of how they fit in a more whole plane of existance that would include emotional responses and they seldom trod on feelings because that is part of the whole they sense. (not to say that all S's are insensitive. They just aren't as quick to pick up other vibes as part of the whole) So what is it? N or S? You've already got the "I" nailed.

definitely an S. handsdown. no worries of lock-dom; it's understandable.

Then I'm afraid that you are indeed an ISTJ just like the majority of the Unites States (with a few ESTJ's thrown in you make up about half the population) Grats on recognizing yourself right off the bat! At least yo uhav ecompany and a certian amount of understanding in the general population. I am an INFJ and although there seem to be alot of them journaling, especially women, alot of us never really felt like we fit. And that's because we didn't!
