the BRUTAL, UGLY truth of my FABULOUS, BEAUTIFUL life.

12:04 a.m. + 2005-11-25 = holy shit! they made a turkey. [pt.3]

safe and sound at home in northeast minneapolis.

a white lie regarding time at which i begin work tomorrow told in order to sleep in very own mpls bed and not on mum's cat-smellerrific basement futon or li'lest sister's aquawful room since sistersister will occupy my former bed as grandparents occupy hers [[and no one wants to sleep in li'lest sisters room]].

have recorded two of the songs by other artists that tend to act as own mild-form of prozac and the like.

the need to record such songs... not depression. honestly, if you haven't read Before You Sleep by Linn Ullmann [[yes, that WOULD be Liv Ullmann's daughter]], you probably won't understand the comfortably constricting bond of familial tradition, duty and obligation by which i am stricken. even if i tried to explain it.

the rest of the evening:

2 games of Skipbo: a near-win and a devastating loss.
the movie: "Yours, Mine & Ours." at the st. peter cinema 5... a theatre that only cost 5.99 for full adult price, but tends to fuck up the film in some manner.
tonight's manner in which film was fucked up [besides the actual film itself [[such a given]]]: watching the previews and opening credits of the wrong film. [[it was TERRIFYING! dakota fanning = evil.]]
drive-back tunes: the second half of the new rosebuds album and "the woods" by sleater-kinney.

my thankful-fors:
family, friends, friends that are family; the sanity, safety, sparkle and shine of the aforementioned; a decent Snowstorm lager from Schell's this year; the ability to seamlessly exchange cd in speeding car whilst holding non-travelmug of scalding liquid and smoking a fag; the ability to grow a moustache unlike my father, who cannot grow hair in his [as he calls it] "snot shoot," thusly appearing to have two halves of a moustache; dreaming of the good; survival of the bad; the ability to be solitary and ok with it; the discovery of hopes (all to the east of here, tragically); the removal of absessed, impacted wisdom teeth; a year relatively free of nasty kidney infections; swiffer dusters; smartwater; pomegranate greentea; multi-coloured sharpies; a heart that only gets sleeved in-print or in-song; impracticality; allowing myself to let him burn the bridge.

[[and rebel yell and american spirits.]] [[but that'll be our li'l secret.]]
