the BRUTAL, UGLY truth of my FABULOUS, BEAUTIFUL life.

3:56 p.m. + 2005-11-24 = holy shit! they made a turkey. [pt. 2]
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
meatballs [[i s'pose one could call them "swedish"]], sill [pickled herring], lingon [cranberry-esque sauce made with lingon and cloud -berries], mashed potatoes, dill & mustard roasted potatoes, lefse [[norwegian immigrant invention, yet no one seems to mind]], rice, green&red lentils, something green [believe it or not, usually it's celery]], blueberry soup [[yes, yes... "hot fruit" !!]], and something heavily marzipan-ned into existence for dessert.
this "off-year's" fare:
turkey [[what...]], stuffing [[the...]], mixed vegetables (corn, green beans, peas... the kind one buys in a bag in the frozen section of a grocer's) [[fuck...]], candied sweet potatoes [[happened...]], mashed potatoes, gravy [[to...]], some sort of cold salad consisting of celery, apples, walnuts and whipt cream [[my...]], and pumpkin pie [[family!?]].
dinner music:
sometimes John Denver.
sometimes Abba.
sometimes [what can only be described as] Native American rave music.
dinner conversation topics:
roommate bethany's holiday plans and former life in tacoma [even though the majority of the table has no idea who this woman is].
the great which-film-shall-we-all-attend-this-evening debate.
the cholesterol content of cinematic popcorn.
the duties of a baker during holiday and post-holiday times.
cat barf and diarrhea caused by under-the-table turkey consumption.
which room sistersister [the only child to be sleeping over/staying the weekend] shall sleep in.
the cost of all the new windows [[which are BEAUTIFUL and stir up pure envy within my soul]].
the mis-casting of Reese Witherspoon as June Carter Cash and Joaquin Phoenix as Johnny Cash in "Walk the Line." [[wow, i DO have cool grandparents.]]
whether or not my piano will fit in sistersister's landyachtofacar's trunk. [[i bet it would.]]
