but, i was in omaha.
for my cousin andy's wedding to a girl he's been dating for 7.5 years. i had to play piano for the prelude whilst other cousin seyward sang the two songs chosen by the bride and groom.
i began to look at the pieces a week ago and just figured that despite their complicated time signatures and cruel range... everything would be okay. seyward, the vocalist, didn't look at the songs until the day-of. it was panicked rehearsing, but everyone gave us pats on the back/pinch of the cheeks.
the wedding lasted about 20 minutes. it was 7pm at night. there were galeforce winds outside and terrential rainfall. i thought perhaps the bride&groom didnot have god's blessing.
BUT! there was an open bar. with whiskey! and sistersister and i proceeded to get absolutely twatted in front of puritanesque swedish relatives [mum's side]. the groom's other side of the family are belgians. [enough said.]
and now i've called-in to work cos i'm hungover and drove in storm-of-century weather and would much rather post pictures on photoblog.
...and pretty soon, my pretty ones... i'll be internetting regularly and this site is bound [by natural law] to hippen-up. big words and searing wit shall return...
