you love it when your windshield, after enduring a few hours of freezing rain, resembles the clarity and texture of the drinking glasses you began stealing from the cafeteria through happenstance and by environmental principles (waxy to-go cups were once your devil) in your freshman year. The glasses you now have a large, dust-collecting collection of sitting on your own private shelf in your parent's kitchen due to fetish-induced theft (they are the best drinking glasses. EVER). you love the beauty of ice on automobile glass. it is a five minute tryst. the love affair soon ends when you are clenching your teeth in part frustration and in part last resort to keep dastardly, bitch wind from swiping your morning cigarette out of your mouth... and realising the complete inadequacy of the plastic scraper you bought the first winter of having your own car.
