southcentralish minnesota at this minute... dastardly weather... gusty, if there were a few more snowflakes in the air and a few less drizzle bits of rain, i'd call it blustery. alas, it is only gusty with a sparse rain/snow mix. from here on out, autumn is over. the best we can hope for is one more week of cool, pleasantly dry weather so that raking leaves is possible instead of the forthcoming mopping of the lawn.

um, yeah. i have nothing really important to say. just that i found splendid goodies at the record store. used gossip. used zwan. used grandpa boy/paul westerberg. used new guided by voices album (but i didn't purchase... i had given up on them long ago and suddenly they produce a "pretty good" album. i think i'll borrow it from eric at work and burn it rather than spend 8-or-so dollars and regret it later). new soviettes lp (a minneapolis band on an oakland label, they're my irrational purchase for the month). used new go-betweens album. and i've begun to purge my record anthology at home. so thus far we've (all the me-s) eliminated the so-dubbed "lilith fair" collection. the only two to make it past the initial inquisition are natalie merchant's "ophelia" (don't judge me) and sarah mclachlan's "fumbling toward ecstasy" (back when she had a little bite left to her and someday i'll be trekking in the yukon in late spring and feel the need to listen to her, i just know it.)
