i have been to the bookstore to price books and get the lowdown on this semester's reading. i was quite delighted to see that i will only need to purchase half of the pagan scandinavian literature books, since most of them are in my "the sagas of the icelanders" anthology. however, i am dismayed by the presence of beowulf on the reading list/shelf. ish. ish. ish.

social inequality has but two books, both priced just under the $100 mark. (absolutely disgusting.)

british women writers, however, is a pleasant surprise as we will be reading my favourite harry potter book and some virginia woolf (mrs. dalloway, three guineas, and some other title which escapes me. whatever, i own them all anyway.)

so there we have it. tonight, rii and i shall excurse ourselves to mpls. for a film. for a few drinks. for a dance or just looking like elitist flowers on the wall. venus flytraps, to be exact. we're carnivourous in contemptuous settings, such as the saloon. (damnit, i know i said i was never going back, but i think it'll be much better with rii and andy in tote.) at anyrate, i'll need to figure out a bus route so i don't need to be sober in contemptuous gayclub setting. the task of that in itself is gynormous.
