the casiotone/papercuts show has been cancelled. for a very understandable reason, but still a let down nonetheless.

so, i took it upon myself to make comfort food... spicy, bourbonned mac'n'cheese [[which is absolut-brilliant and incredibly worth my anti-bovine digestive tract's disapproval and inevitable revolt]] ...and spend a relatively ridiculous amount of money on wines and whiskies.

cos tonight is THE night--the only day/night in the year in which i hold high regard [to the point of pious-esteem!].

tonight! i am gifted! an hour! of time!

a whole extra hour! it's better than christmas! santa may have been spot on with the iPod and vaccuum cleaner this jul past... but s/he certainly wasn't handing out any time, which is infinitely better than anything tangible and displayed in a catalogue.

[[for the record, i associate the beginning of daylight saving's time with that most-vile and -evil of creatures, namely, the easter bunny.]]

i shall spend the extra hour in a halfdrunk wake-sleep.
i shall tip my glass and toast to the end of daylight's afternoon reign.
