i'm wearing shorts for the first time in a decade.
[[literally. last known short-wearing event: june 1996. prince edward island. my calves were ever-so sunburnt... it pained me to bend at the knee.]]
i am not a shorts-wearer. until yesterday, i didn't even own a pair [that wouldn't be considered obscene to wear in public.]
but, it's going to be 100+ degrees this weekend. last time that happened?? 100 degrees in minneapolis: july 1995. 100+ degrees in minneapolis: july 1988.
both years in which i had shorts.
summer, thus far, has been brutal.
i hate heat. i detest humidity. my comfort-level peaks at 78degrees Fahrenheit with 40% relative humidity... shorts are a necessity.
