it's 92 degrees. and humid. yuck.
and i came home from work to the sight of a package for me on the stair. looks like a book, i thought.
peacock finally sent the gift he bought me ages ago and constantly debated sending me for fear of how i'd react. i told him to send it anyway, (i like gifts). but my reaction is exactly what i didn't want and probably close to what he feared... cos now i have the "thurber carnival" which i couldn't love to death any more, as a reminder of who i shouldn't love to death anymore.
life really is so much easier when i pretend he's a figment of my imagination, but now i have tangent proof to the contrary. 2 weeks ago, this would have put me over the edge, but now i'm just "m'eh." mostly due to knowing that there is someone else that surpasses even my wildest dreams.
p.s. i'm making granola bars tomorrow.
